                                                  The Ant Battle                       
                               DUN DUN DUN!!!!
 Once upon an ant there was 2 boys that went by the name of Noah & Charlie. They were very good friends and they both loved coke like so much they would die for it. Now one morning they woke up to a big surprise, it was a bottle filled with the one and only Coca Cola. And of course they grabbed I mean name another 2 maori kids who wouldn’t grab it. So after we grabbed it there was a mysterious red button and Charlie can’t handle red buttons. So he pressed the button and both of them got teleported to the landfill! They tried to run out but they stood on the one and only ‘Queen Ant’! They heard a squish as they were running so they ran even faster and waiting at the exit was a sea of ants and behind them was a different rent looking ant because this ant was wearing a golden crown and a fluffy robe! Suddenly he held up this machine and it was a totem looking ant (it was a golden trophy thing) with its hands up and in the middle was this magic ball that was a glowing yellow colour. The mysterious looking ant held the totem above his head and a magical glowing beam came flying at the Maori 9 Year Olds. And they got transformed into the size of an ant (Not a literal ant but the size of one)! They ran as fast as they could and they jumped up onto a roof and then did the cartoon slip on a banana peel and fell into a purple van. 10 Minutes later… they feel the van stop and the boot opens and they fall into a box. They can’t see anything but they feel something familiar. The box opens and gets tipped onto a conveyor belt and it starts running. They start to find out where they are because there are 1,000,000 Chocolates! “Bro, We’re at the Cadbury Factory!” Says Noah with his eyes as big as a saucer. And of course the 2 Maori boys eat all of the chocolates! Suddenly they both feel something stick to there back “I can’t move!” Screams Charlie as we both realise that we are stuck in a chocolate bar wrapper! “AAAAAAHHHHH” They both yelp as the get wrapped and thrown into a truck… “Where are we?” questions Noah “We’re at the dairy!” answers Charlie while making a river with his saliva. Suddenly we hear in a cute voice “Hey!” says the mysterious ant “What is your name” yells Noah “I’m King Ant, the most powerful ant in the world” screams King Ant “Okay?” replies Noah & Charlie. “We are going to kill you!” Demands the sea of ants “Haha whatever” giggle Noah & Charlie “bring it on boooooy!” says the King Ant “Charge!”. All the ants charge but Noah & Charlie have heaps of skill so they smack all the ants faces and defeat all of them using the sword lollies that were incredibly delicious...  All of the ants were finished except for ONE and it was the one and only midget ant, so midget that even we were the size of an ant and we still stepped on it. Suddenly in the corner of their eyes they see the Ant totem thingy mabob and they pick it up and turn themselfs back… Meanwhile back at Noah’s Kitchen… “Bro that was meeeaaan ay” “Hard bro that was lit” Says the boys as the start a conversation. And then Noah said “Haha so much for a bottle of coke!”. THE END P.S Don’t drink coke kids

A time I have shown leadership in Rimu Hub was in the first week of school when I helped some of the year 4s settle into Rimu hub.

The thing I am most proud of in Rimu Hub so far this year is my waka art because it really explains me.

My favourite subject is reading because I have really improved since last year.

I am a fast learner at most things but at others I am a slow learner.

The learning muscle have I been mainly focussed on is making links because I need to make links in my learning.

HSHB performance

Thank you HBHS (Hastings Boys High School) for coming to our school and performing we are really great full for your visit to our school. We will be looking up to you whenever we do Kapa Haka or anything, we will look up to you always.



Parkvale school loved your performance we thank you heaps and wishing you will perform for us soon. We all felt excited when we knew you were coming to our school. The Kapa Haka and the Pasifika were amazing. I loved the Pasifika the best though.

Camp again

Hi welcome back today I am doing my camp letter because I heard my link to the rest of my letter didn't work so hear it is


To Todd thank you for making me laugh and teaching me a lot of things in Maori and English ;). You helped me heaps and looked after me. Thank you because you helped with the cooking, cleaning  judging, master chef and for coming. Without you no one would be at camp. You have made us smile so we will make you happy. Thank you for looking after me in school and out.
You made us smile and you made it big so we will fill your heart with something that something will be joy so enjoy this and that is what I will bring. You can smile and you can cry but I promise you that you won't fly so remember this and you will cry.
I hope that made you cry with joy but I know you so… you didn't. I hope you had fun at camp because everyone else did.

How maui slowed the sun

HOW MAUI SLOWED THE SUN

Long ago

Te ra the sun began to move to fast so there was never time in the day to do everything they needed to do.

People couldn't do much about it but Maui had a plan he gathered his four brothers but they did not agree to maui's plan so maui had to convince them to slow the sun with him. They started to make strong ropes but the brothers were not happy about slowing the sun because they thought they would dey. The ropes are ready at last they set off at last light so no one knew they were coming.

It was many miles to the home of the sun but the brothers never stopped the ground slowly  started to get warmer but no one made a sound. Soon they reached the great pit of the sun. They started to build a wall out of rocks and pieces of the earth.

The sun slowly started to rise “brothers don’t throw the ropes until he said otherwise we would fail” hissed maui as maui was commanding his brothers to throw the ropes when he said the fiery flames came over the wall.

Then the burning hot eyes of te ra came above the wall once the wight hot teeth popped out above Maui jumped to his feet and lift his grandfather's jaw bone and smacked it on te ra’s nose after about 23 hits with the magic jawbone Te ra was starting to cry and whing maui gave the signal to throw the ropes once the sun was weak and tired the brother’s loosen the ropes and the sun slowly drifted out into the day and if you look clossly you can see the magic ropes

but Naomi is the champion. She has beaten 3 Stage 7's. Every time we face the stage 6's, Jacob is the only stage 6 that made it in the finals.

• Something I enjoyed about my project was working on something new          because I have never really done it before.

• The most challenging thing about my project was doing the video at the end of the slideshow  because I had to write down what I had to say it was hard to find a space to record my voice.

Eliza MCcartney

      Hi I am Charlie I am a year 4 student and this is what I have been learning.
Eliza is the NZ pole vaulter this will be her first OLYMPICS. We are hoping she will get a gold medal. We are counting on you Eliza. Eliza is 19 and was born in Auckland in 1996.

How to do pole vault

                                                    How to do pole vault

                        What you need 
                            1. Standers
                            2. cross bar
                            3. landing Cushion
                            4. run way at least 40 m  
                            5. ladder
                                      Method
         
              1. Set up the standers and the cross bar with the ladder                      make shore the bar is were you want it
              2. Go to the end of run way. Once you are ready run as                      fast as you can go.
              3. When you are 10 feet away slide the pole on the ground
                  in till the pole is in the pole box push with all your might
             4. When you are in the air flip your shoulders back and                     pull your self over.
